General Information

The village of Labunishta is located on the northwestern part of Lake Ohrid, under the slopes of the Jablanica mountain. A mountain village with beautiful nature and two glacial lakes on the Jablanica mountain. The mountaineering organization KAB from Struga organizes accommodation in tents, mountaineering tours and accommodation in the village of Labunishta.

Village

Like many villages in the region, Labunista has a predominantly agricultural economy, with farming being the primary occupation of the local residents. The village is surrounded by fertile land, making it suitable for cultivating various crops such as grains, vegetables, and fruits. Livestock farming, particularly sheep and goats, is also common in the area.

In addition to agriculture, Labunista is known for its traditional Macedonian architecture, characterized by stone-built houses with red-tiled roofs. The village retains much of its rural charm and offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Macedonian village life.
